ssi Dive Guide The Dive Guide program approaches training using practical application, background information and flexibility. The goal is to create well-prepared, versatile and marketable Dive Professionals. SSI Dive Guides can lead and guide certified divers. Additionally, after passing the Snorkeling Instructor program, a Dive Guide can teach and issue Snorkeling certifications.

 

Devoted divers with a desire to pass along their love of scuba diving to others will find the SSI Dive Guide programs a rewarding experience.

Much as the SSI Open Water Diver course opened the door to diving, the SSI Dive Guide program will open the door to leadership, which allows you to enjoy diving on an entirely different level.

SSI Dive Guide (DG).This program is an introduction into the world of Dive Professionals. As a SSI Dive Guide you will be qualified to lead certified divers on a variety of scuba diving adventures.

SSI Dive Guides are required to work through an active SSI Dive Center and, when necessary, with an active SSI Instructor.

As a certified SSI Dive Guide (DG) you can:
  • Give underwater tours to certified scuba divers 
  • Teach SSI Snorkel Diving after passing the SSI Snorkel Instructor Module
  • Issue SSI Snorkel Diver certifications
  • SSI Dive Guide program prepares you to become an active member of the scuba industry and a valuable dive business employee.

The SSI Dive Guide (DG) course includes:

  • SSI Dive Guide kit
  • SSI Dive Guide Application fee
  • SSI Membership Fee(excluding Insurance fee)
  • 6 open water dive sessions
  • 3 confined water sessions
  • Transport to and from Pool and Dive Sites
  • Lunch and Light refreshments on Pool and Ocean days
  • SSI Manuals - All SSI manuals required for your selected courses
  • Use of all Training aids required to obtain theSSI Dive Guide certification

The SSI Dive Guide (DG) course investment us$575.00 and 8 fun Days of your time.

Prerequisites:

  •  Be at least 18 years old
  • Logged at least 24 open water dives totaling 25 hours or more
  • Have a Total Diving System of professional type and quality
  • Have a current medical exam for scuba diving not older than 1 year signed by a licensed medical practitioner
  • Be certified at least at the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver level
  • Have logged significant experience in Navigation, Night / Limited Visibility Diving, Deep Diving and Boat Diving
